New political ad

Have you seen the new TV politcal ad for McCain? The one where his party blames the high price of gasoline on Obama? First Bush blamed the Democrats. Now McCain supporters single out Obama. I had no idea Barack Obama had so much power.

Shoe on the other foot? Let's single out McCain to blame for the horrendous debt the United States owes for the war in Iraq.

I have now resorted to turning off the television everytime I see that smug grin on John McCain's face. November cannot come soon enough...

I stand corrected

My son read my blog. He said that I misrepresented something. He DOES believe that Dick Cheney is part of the evil empire.

There you go, Brian! Momma will admit when she is wrong.

You can raise them but you can't make them have any sense...

I have two sons. One is normal and the other is a Republican. The Republican was here for the weekend. Bless his heart, he actually believes the party line and still refuses to believe that Dick Cheney is the son of Satan.

What's a mother to do?

Waiting for the appraisal

I took my mom and one of my sisters over to look at the house last evening. The seller called and graciously offered that he would be there working if I wanted to come by and see the progress.

I love my kitchen! The cabinets look like light cherry or a deep fruitwood. There are not nearly enough drawers so that means I will have to pare down my number of junk drawers. (Do I really need 3?!) Originally the laundry was in the basement but the seller moved it to the back of the kitchen and will bring the washer and dryer up to install before I move it. My sister and I measured the "guest" room and I won't be able to fit the computer desk in there with everything else so the computer will be up in the quilt studio on the 3rd floor. Lots of room up there so it isn't a real issue. I also measured the master bedroom and though it isn't as large as my room now, all of my furniture will fit perfectly.

So far everything is going smoothly. (Probably just tempted fate with that comment!)

Is it tomorrow already?

My realtor just called. I bought a house...or I will be buying a house. And this time the only thing we have to wait for is the appraisal. Everything is new so I won't have the falling down walls, bad wiring, non-functioning furnace types of issues.

Lord, please let me sleep tonight!

Until 11:59pm, July 9th

The paperwork has been submitted and we only gave the seller until July 9th to respond with a decision on my offer. I promised myself I wouldn't get too worked up about it but I have totally decorated this house in my head and I am working on the backyard! If I don't sleep tonight I will totally blame it on this process.

Regular living hangs in the balance!

It's just my opinion...

My blog here pretty much tells the world what I am thinking about be it personal items, political, religious, whatever... I don't cram anything down any one's throat. I don't force anyone to read. I just do my thing.

Of late, more and more conservative (Republican) friends/acquaintances have been sending me emails with conservative rhetoric. I don't search them out to send documentation supporting my beliefs because that simply isn't my nature. We are all entitled to our individual opinions. Mine may not be the same as yours.

For all of you that want me to see the error of my ways, start your own blog. I will read it if I want to read it...or not.

Please, don't try to "convert" me. It wastes both your time and my time.
